If a student did not turn in money from the previous candy sale, they will not be able to participate until the outstanding money has been paid.

You cannot use money in your account to pay for a fundraiser.

Hi again,

Thanks to everyone who has helped at the football games so far this season. PLEASE REMEMBER that program sales and concessions are the band's biggest fundraisers and we really need EVERYONE to step up and help! If we can't fill these positions, the band will be in jeopardy of not being included in these fundraisers next year!!! A portion of the proceeds from these fundraisers goes to the student's fair share account of the parent who volunteers.

We need 1 griller and 2 other people to help out at the JV Football game this Thursday. Volunteers should report to the school by 5:30. All information provided at the meeting this Thursday night will be provided to the parent(s) who volunteer to work at the game.

1 Griller and 1 Concession helper needed for each of the following varsity football games:

October 6th
October 20th
November 4th

Program salespeople needed for each of the following varsity football games:

October 28th
November 4th

If you can help at any of the games listed above, please contact either me or Judy Kern.

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

NEED ONE MORE VOLUNTEER PLEASE

IF YOU'VE VOLUNTEERED TO HELP AT THE GAME AND ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT, PLEASE CALL EITHER JUDY KERN (561-346-0535) OR SUSAN (561-707-8781) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WE CAN FIND A REPLACEMENT FOR YOU!!

Other than needing one more parent to help at halftime, we really don't need any additional parents to help either before or during the game. Enjoy the game and enjoy watching our kids perform. This is why we are trying to get different parents to sign up for different games. We'd like for everyone to learn what goes on but don't want to burden anyone week in and week out. If you do come early with your kids and choose to wait in the band room, please wait until one of the board members asks for your help. Mr. Lamp has given his band officers the responsibility for the pre-game activities and requirements, so it's important that we let them do their jobs.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE FOLLOWING GAMES AND ASSIGNMENTS:

SEPT 30TH - HALFTIME HELP

OCT 28TH - HALFTIME HELP AND PROGRAM SALES

NOVEMBER 4TH - HALFTIME HELP, PROGRAM SALES AND CONCESSIONS

Please send me an email or call me if you are interested in volunteering for any of these games.

Thanks again!!

Dear Parents & Students,

Great game Friday night!!  The Band, once again, did a fantastic job!!  Thank so you much to all the parents who helped during the game and a special thank you to Michael Biggan for pulling the trailer of equipment!

FSU - Band Day Trip, Letter from Michael Biggan

I want to comment on the trip, this past weekend, to the Florida State University band day.  First I would like to thank Mr. Lamp for getting this set up.  He did a great job and the kids got to sit directly behind the band at the game.  Second, I would like to thank Judy Kern for getting us the bus so no parent had to drive.  Third would be the parents who allowed their kids to go and the chaperones who sat in the rain with our kids.

I also wanted to tell everyone how well our kids were on this trip.  Saturday turned into a nineteen hour day.  Everyone was tired yet our band kids represented William T. Dwyer High School with respect and pride.  They were GREAT.  We all had a good time.

Thanks again to everyone involved,

Michael Biggan

Dear Parents & Students,

Thank you to all the parents who helped at the game Friday night.  We're glad so many families were able to make it to the game!  Mr. Lamp asked me to tell the students this was the best first game performance in his 3 years at Dwyer.  Job well done, both on the field and in the stands!!

We made the paper!  On page 9C of the Post under "Smells hit extremes on Friday Nights" it said

"And if Dwyer's band hadn't immediately taken the field for a brassy rendition of

Flight of the Condor, there might have been no noise at all on the home side of the

Stadium except for a car alarm protesting in the distance."
